... Ah. A firearm...

[Thankfully that does keep Chiron from rambling another half-minute, and he turns his eyes up in thought.

And then, offering his bow to the other.]

Well, let us see what you can do. I still have five arrows on me.

[... his bow is like 70lb so. I have no idea if Emet can carry that, maybe he's a twunk under those robes]

Oh? You are the first to handle my bow at all.

[GOLD STAR. Also noting that this probably means Emet can throw a mean punch... Chiron trying not to get excited by the idea of them sparring one day...]

Here. [Also handing over an arrow] Shall I throw a pebble for you to shoot at?

[... Honestly difficult to tell if he's trolling or not]

[Ha, alright. Emet-Selch has got him there, and his tail gives an amused flick to the side]

It is true, I have not offered it to Hansa -- only to some of my more prideful students.

[He's... that kind of teacher, apparently. Break their spirits before you build them back up better and stronger.]

Very well. Choose whatever target you like. I will be the observer this time.

[Listen. Chiron's philosophy is that a prideful student will not learn the lessons they need!

So crush 'em.

Though while Emet-Selch tests an arrow, Chiron will go quickly fetch the others he used, sliding them back into his quiver before returning. After that he will watch for a moment, thoughtful.

Upon handing over another arrow for him to use, he will begin the corrections.

Nothing spoken on his end, just slight adjustments to Emet's posture here and there. Moving his shooting arm a degree inward, or tilting the arrow just so.]

Interesting. You shoot like you are ready for the target to make a move.

That is true. It is why I would often start my students on moving targets: so that they would remain watchful of their opponents.

[He trained warriors, after all, not kids who'd only spend their adulthoods pinning arrows into tree bark. Once the corrections are finished, Chiron steps back a more respectable distance, and watches... though he does continue on, thoughtfully]

You've fought upon the battlefield then?

That does tend to be the quickest method outside of royal lineage or supposed divine right...

[Mm -- the bowstring weight might be a little too taut, then. Since this is to gauge the type of bow he'll be making for him, Chiron mutters for Emet to give him a moment before reaching over and adjusting the string, releasing the weight by a pound or so. Another arrow is handed over.]
