Precisely why I do not often involve myself, but so long as any parties who may be involved can reach an agreement, then I see little need to avoid discussion of it. I would not have either of you distracted by it, nor do I care to have yet another complication hanging over our heads in the midst of our duty here.
Yes, I believe that is the best course of action... though I would give him a moment to explain on his own instead of demanding answers. He does not strike me as the type to needlessly complicate matters, either.
